2008-todate is the Chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Research Ethics Committee (REC) at King Hussein Cancer Center. IRB is responsible of reviewing and approving all human research studies and clinical trials submitted to KHCC, whether initiated by internal or external researchers.
2018-todate Acting Manager of the Human-Research Protection Program (HRPP) Office. The HRPP Office is responsible for coordinating, and monitoring all functions related to the protection of the human participants in research.
In September 2019, I earned the CIP® credentials by passing the examination of the
American Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research, and became the first Jordanian CIP® members. This has enhanced my knowledge in the American and International research regulation including the American Food and Drug Agency (FDA).
Guest Editor; Bioethics Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, May –November 2020.
More than 60 publications in peer reviewed international journal, as well as five book chapters. Two chapters authored in Research Ethics in the Arab Region, edited by H. Silverman. In addition, there are several publications related to bioethics including appraisal of the Jordanian Stem cell Law in relation to related international laws, and in view of the Framework by the Global Alliance for Health and Genomics. Other publications related to the potential use of surplus tissue in research, and the use of tissue related to biobanks. Recently, I am a Guest Associate Editor of the special topic “Bioethics Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic” along with a few distinguished Guest Editors. Has contributed several articles to the special topic.

Has been an invited speaker at national, regional and international conferences in research ethics and applicable local and international regulations. I train graduate students and as well as professional through holding workshops in research ethics and applicable laws and regulations, including the Jordanian Clinical Studies Law, and
International Codes like the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH)/ Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
