He is holding a BSc of Civil Engineering from Palestine, MSc of Environmental Engineering-Environmental Impact assessment and a PhD of Environmental Engineering-Air Quality Monitoring and Modelling from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
He has 15 years of working experience (teaching, training, research and consultancy), where he had assignments in Palestine, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, South Korea, USA and Canada.
He was a Research Fellow at the School of Civil Engineering, USM, He did a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and he achieved A fellowship at the MIT-UTM Malaysia Sustainable Cities Program. He was a visiting scholar at University of Seoul, University of Windsor and at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT).
He also was an "air pollution consultant" for the project “Building Healthy Cities in Indonesia” funded by USAID.
In terms of publications, he has 18 papers published at international peer reviewed journals and more than 32 papers were published in international conferences.
