Mohamed Daoud is currently working as a science communication officer at the American University in Cairo, where he leads a team of science communicators to deliver science and planetarium shows to underprivileged communities all around Egypt. Alongside, he is a freelance science communication coach, consultant, and trainer. He has achieved his master’s degree in science communication from the University of Manchester in 2018. Mohamed was awarded the prestigious UK Government Chevening Scholarship to fund his study in the UK. He previously worked as multiple science centres, museums, and festivals in the UK such as Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, Edinburgh International Science Festival, Manchester Science Festival, and the Big Bang Fair. Mohamed worked as a Science communicator and Executive Board Member at Cairo Science Festival 2012, 2013 and 2014. He is the co-founder and Executive Board Member of Egypt Science Month. Mohamed is one of Egypt’s Top 10 Science Communicators according to FAMELAB® 2012.
