Omar Saif is a sustainability expert with experience in research, consultancy and government. Currently, he is a Regional Economic Advisor for the Dutch government, supporting the Gulf region’s sustainable development by facilitating regional and international partnerships on water, energy and food security. His previous consulting role with EY included the delivery of a wide range of sustainability projects across several sectors and countries within the MENA region. In addition, Omar worked as a policy researcher at a number of renowned research institutes in Canada and the Middle East, including Masdar Institute, where he focused on power and water sector reform. Omar holds an M.Eng. in Engineering & Public Policy, and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science both from McMaster University in Canada. With a keen interest in the power and water sector; corporate sustainability; and youth development, he is often invited as a trainer, speaker and mentor to others.
